Rian M. Kinney, Esq. – Founder/Attorney

Rian M. Kinney is young, driven and successful. Accepted to United States Military Academy at West Point when 17, she has long been recognized for her leadership and commitment to excellence.

Ms. Kinney obtained her Bachelors Degree in English from the University of Florida in 2004 and immediately pursued her law degree at Nova Southeastern University in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. While participating in the four year evening program, Rian commuted an hour to school, served in four leadership positions, worked a full time job, won scholarships and was still able to make Dean’s List.

Rian served as the Vice President of Entertainment for the Sports and Entertainment Law Society for two years and won Organization of the Year, both years. Ms. Kinney had the distinguished honor of being appointed Nova Southeastern University’s, American Bar Association Representative and had the responsibility of representing and promoting the school at national conferences.

In keeping with her motto, “Leave every place better than you found it.,” Rian had a major impact on NSU by entering and winning their ‘Name The Mascot Contest’ in 2006, changing the mascot from the Knights to the Sharks.

Ms. Kinney worked as a music intern for Clarence Clemmons’ and Steven Seagal’s music manager; filing copyright and trademark registrations for the stars. Having worked for Nationwide Insurance Company for two years, she worked as a law clerk for a Broward Insurance Defense Firm and has advised several CEO’s regarding marketing, intellectual property and compliance issues.

Rian M. Kinney is also a licensed Real Estate Professional and Notary in the state of Florida.

Interesting Facts

Rian Kinney is a woman of diverse interests.

Ms. Kinney is a gifted athlete; she was the only girl the recreational rollerhockey league for three years, played softball for five years, ran hurdles, won Rookie of the Year and was named Captain of the Suncoast Cross Country team that advanced to States, both years Rian ran. She discovered basketball at the age of 12 and played competitively; winning best defensive player in the boys rec. league, was a starter on the State Champion Suncoast Basketball Team and went to A.A.U. Nationals three times with the Riviera Beach Young Guns. Rian played intramural softball and basketball while at UF and NSU. More recently, Ms. Kinney was the only female in the Broward County Lawyer Flag Football League, playing center.

Rian played the flute, took modeling classes, sang in the choir, landed the role of the Genie in Suncoast’s production of Aladdin, participated in Debate and served in various leadership roles. Ms. Kinney ran in the inaugural AIA half-marathon in Fort. Lauderdale, won Best Interview in the Miss Palm Beach County Pageant, tried out for and was inducted into the American Trial Lawyers Association – Honor Society at NSU and flew to San Francisco to Audition for American Idol.
